This furthers speculation that Pokemon X and Pokemon Y take place in a region that is NOT contiguous of Unova. That sign means Route 3, right? Interesting turn of events. That, along with the other screenshot where the male trainer is running away from what appears to be the Eiffel Tower in a European-esque city leads me to believe X and Y may take place in Europe. Neat!

Junichi Masuda was just in France, and his Twitter photo is him with the Eiffel Tower.
We have what appears to be an Eiffel Tower like structure in the trailer, together with other classical European style architecture.
Starters are based on things stereotypically associated with France, including Chestnuts, Frogs, and Fennec.
The Cartesian coordinate system (you know, X & Y) was developed by René Descartes, a French philosopher.
