Having problems finding a lipstick color for your cosplay? Look no further. I just found someone’s video tutorial on how to make lipsticks out of crayons. In the video she says that she found out that all of her favourite lipsticks had lead and that she found out that she could make lipstick out of lead free crayons. The entire time I was watching this video, I thought that it would work amazingly for someone looking for some cerulean blue lipstick for Vriska or Jade green lipstick for Kanaya or maybe some other cosplay character who has a weird lipstick color. In the video she also says that you could mix crayon colors to make weird colors.

I don’t even wear lipstick ever, but learning you can make it out of crayons now got me all excited to try it. o-o

I thought this was interesting for all you fangirls/cosplayers on a budget. Seems like a really cool idea.

Wow, this is crazy awesome, especially considering makeup brands that carry “weird” lipstick colours are usually the expensive artsy ones that charge like $17-$25 for a tube

Oh wow! Definitely going to have to try this.

Do you know how hard it is to find blue lipstick?  That doesn’t cost a fortune? I’d seen instructions on this a while back and have been meaning to try it out for when I finish Jarael.

As someone with a lot of allergies, this is super awesome.

Super Silky Summer Legs

Next time you are feeling down, about to binge, going on a date, or just need to pamper yourself, do this. I just did it and I can not stop rubbing my legs together. It feels like I paid for that over expensive pedicure at the salon.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 C Sugar (Yup, plain, good-ol’ white sugar)
  • 1/2 C Oil (I used olive oil, but you can use any oil, coconut oil, baby oil, canola oil)
  • 3 tablespoons Citrus (Lime or lemon)
  • 1-2 Razors
  1. Mix everything together in a bowl.
  2. Soak your legs in the tub for 5 minutes.
  3. Shave your legs.
  4. Rub some of this mixture all over your legs. The sugar will help rub off all dirt and dead skin. Rub, rub. Feels like a mini massage.
  5. Rinse it all off, shave again. I would use one razor per leg if you have two. You will be rinsing this razor a lot. I was GROSSED out by the amount of dead skin I was “shaving” off. It was insane! Trust me, you’ll see.
  6. Rub your legs again! Second coat of wax, oh yeah.
  7. Rinse off! You can use a mild soap to help get some of the oil off.
  8. Lotion your legs up, and feel the silkiness!

Now this isn’t just geared to ladies…. guys, if you want to get lucky, I suggest you offer to rub your ladies’ feet with this mix too. It feels awesome, and when you get lucky, you will be thanking me that her rough grandma feet aren’t cutting your legs, if ya know what I’m saying… hahaha.

I have silky arm pits too!!

Try it, I swear, You will want everyone to touch your legs.

I just tried this out and my feet feel like BUTTER now. It’s INCREDIBLE.

Trying this later.

Oh, this sounds nice.

Reverse-Color Lid (88 Matte Palette)

I did a look a year ago inspired by the Queen of Blending. This year, I’m revisiting the look using different, stronger colors. Do note that you don’t need to use the exact shades I did. Just look for 3 colors that are sort of complementary, and line them up from light to dark.

Just make sure to apply an eye primer so the shadow goes on with maximum intensity.

image

Step 1: Imagine an invisible line along your socket. Below the line, you want to pack the palest shadow onto the inner portions of your lid, and along the inner corners of the lower lid. Apply the same color ABOVE the socket line on the outer portions.

Just remember not to pull the color too far out at the outsides or your lids could look droopy.

image

Step 2: I accidentally deleted the image I took when I applied the center shade (rich blue), so bear with me and look at the portion I marked out right down the center of the lid.

Step 3: Using the darkest shade (purple), I applied the color in the opposite areas to the teal at the start. Above the socket on the inner corners and below the socket, on the lid at the outer corners. The color on the lower lids should match what is on your upper lid as well.

image

Step 4: Using a fluffy brush, I blended out the inner corners. This is the tricky portion as a dark shade above the socket line at the inner corners can look very tacky and messy if not softened out.

image

Step 5: I finished by using a fine brush to apply black kajal along the waterline, and then thickly along the upper lash line. Then curl lashes and apply mascara to finish.

I want a rainbow palette so, so badly. Like so badly. I desperately want to do this to my eyes.

 #amelia gurl try this sometime

you know me too well cole

Cosplay 101: Basic Cosplay Makeup

First part is a discussion on why it’s important to wear makeup for cosplay, second part is a tutorial of how I do my basic cosplay makeup. (The tutorial starts at 2:50 if you want to skip there right away. :3)

Steps in order: primer (face and eyes), BB cream, eyeshadow, eye liner, mascara, coverup, contouring with bronzer, loose powder, blush, and lipstick.

Again, if you have any questions about the products I used or anything I did technique-wise, or if you just have makeup questions in general, feel free to ask! Remember that I’m not an expert by any means at all, this is just stuff I’ve put together from experimenting and watching other YouTubers (specifically Tanya Burr, a lot of my makeup technique is based on hers~).

Also, guys, this video is relevant to you too! Because cameras don’t just make girls ugly, they make everyone ugly! :D

BB Cream was my best friend for the PR Comic Con. Seriously, it makes a difference. I was surprised to see that the process you used is pretty much the process I used for my Jinora cosplay except mine was simpler because Jinora.

Still VERY useful for future cons. Thanks for making this! :)
