ok so I literally just made the best discovery of my artistic career
it’s basically an easy to use pose-making program with a doll. You can pose it in any pose you can imagine and view it from any angle
and this program is entirely FREE
it’s a bit of a thing to get installed and set up so I’ll write a tutorial for it later but
holy shit guys
i made that pose you see up there in like 5-6 minutes. This is fucking revolutionary. I have such a problem with poses and this is a toy that is better than any artist mannequin you can have irl. Holy shit.

Okay, I’ve become rather irked by how much the boobs-n-butt pose is so harped on, as if it’s some hilarious, impossible thing. These were done on a whim, so I apologize for the small/crappy photos and sketchy outlines. Once I find my camera again, I’d like to take some shots that show the whole body and how this pose actually works.
These are all practical positions, and they were all relatively comfortable to do. Even though the boobs-n-butt pose looks a little funny, it’s entirely plausible and anatomically correct (although it can be taken too far). So, don’t be afraid to draw it. Hopefully these photos help a little with drawing such positions!

was working on this tonight, some female gesture references. Gesture drawing becomes more fun and useful when It’s more about the flow and the curves rather then the anatomy.but you’ll need a decent anatomic knowledge : )
This woman pole dances like she plans to take it to the Olympics and win the gold. It gets good at 1:20.At the 3:20 mark it becomes unbelievable.
I generally don’t reblog cute/cool/interesting things very often. I just appreciate them. But this has left me mouth agape and speechless. This woman defies gravity in ways I didn’t even think was possible, and with an easy charm that just blows my mind. Watch it to the end. Seriously.

I really wouldn’t be surprised if she had some circus training or if she learned some of these things by watching movies with old circus performers. They used to do this kind of thing all the time - I haven’t been to a real circus in years so I’m not sure if they still have performers that do this (though I’m sure they do). She is VERY good, and solid muscle.
When I watched this for the first time forever ago, my mind was fucking blown. To this day, my mind is still fucking blown.
