Mark your calendars, little hatos, because Legumentine’s Day is just around the corner! February 3rd, to be exact.
Some friends and I have been tossing this idea back and forth and since we ended up missing Christmas (whoops) we figured now would be a good time as any to do a Secret Santa-esque gift exchange. Only it’s Secret ~Admirers~ since, well, Legumentine’s Day. The day that we give beans to the special birdies in our lives.
GUIDELINES
♡ Any fan of Hatoful Boyfriend can get involved, including those that don’t have a tumblr! I don’t want to exclude anyone from this gift exchange, especially not for the silly reason of not having an account on a website. But if you’re off-site and want to participate you must be willing to let me post your work on Tumblr (with the proper crediting to you, of course).
♡ As with any Secret Santa gift exchange you must secretly create a gift in exchange for a gift. While fanfic and fanart are the traditional gifts for an event like this I won’t say no to things like videos and OSTs. However, I do not want to be the middle-man in an exchanging of addresses, so please keep that in mind and stray away from physical gifts.
♡ Pay attention to the deadlines! I cannot stress this fact enough. If you’re interested in participating, please send me a message by Monday, January 14th at 9am PST (current time PST can be found here). I will then randomize the assignments and send out the information to you individually by Wednesday, January 16th. You must have your work finished and ready to upload by Sunday, February 3rd (aka Legumentine’s Day), but the earlier you finish the better. Uploading can happen any time during that weekend but please do not do so before.
♡ Communicate with me! If you have any questions at all about the process please feel free to ask. When you have finished your work I want you to message me saying that you have so I won’t have to nudge you the week before to remind you. If you want to ask a question directed to your recipient (if they’re not okay with a certain kink for a nsfw gift, if they prefer birds over human forms, etc etc) direct that question to me and I will ask for you. On that note, please leave your asks open or have some way that I can communicate with you privately.
♡ I recommend tracking the #hatoful gift exchange 2k13 tag because I’ll only post one more announcement regarding this to the Hatoful Boyfriend tag a few days before sign-up cut-offs. All the other announcements from me will be in that tag. Like this post as well so you don’t forget this important information!

You want to get involved? Great! Then send an ask to coorelightgrey or email to candj1511@aim.com with the following information by Monday, January 14th at 9am (PST).
♡ favorite characters — aim for at least four different characters, but don’t just say “everyone”!
♡ favorite pairings — aim for at least three different pairings, but don’t just say “all the pairings”!
♡ what games have you played — this is simply to avoid spoilers if at all possible.
♡ …and anything else you think might be relevant to know, like if you’re not comfortable with nsfw material, or if you really are hoping for bird form things, or whatever you think might be important for your gift-giver.
Once I receive the info and record it I’ll send you a message saying that you’re good to go. Then, by Wednesday the 16th I’ll send you another message with your assignment information and ask that you send me a confirmation once your gift is complete. If I don’t receive any notification then on January 30th I’ll send a message to check in on you, just in case. I will not respond to your initial ask in the case of username changes.
